Corpse found after week; Egyptian held with drugs

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 2:  The corpse of a woman was found inside her bedroom one week after she died, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, a young man called the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior and reported about finding his mother’s dead body inside her bedroom. Securitymen, forensics team and paramedics rushed to the location and examined the corpse to discover she had been dead for seven days. When they asked her son, he said his mother usually closes the door and stays inside her room for days without coming out. However, when he realized the silence from her room, he decided to break down the door of her bedroom and found her lying motionless. Her corpse was referred to the Forensics Department. A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances behind her death.

Egyptian held with drugs: An Egyptian expatriate was arrested in Farwaniya area in possession of 21 “Tremadol” pills, says Al-Seyassah. According to security sources, Farwaniya securitymen were patrolling various locations within the governorate based on instructions of the Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah, when they noticed a man who was driving down the road, and ordered him to pull over based on suspicions. They checked his details to discover he is an Egyptian expatriate. They checked him to find 21 “Tremadol” pills. When questioned, he confessed that he is a drug addict. He was arrested and referred with the narcotic pills to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
