KUWAIT CITY, May 5: Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department have arrested an African for swindling Kuwaitis, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources the man said he was selling banknotes printing machine that turns special blank papers into US dollars using a special ink.He told his victims the minimum deal was for KD 30,000 which would give the buyer of the machine $200,000 which roughly worked out to $1,000 for KD 150. When the deal falls through the salesman then visited the victim in his home and sold the machine.To ensure the authenticity of the trade, he would print a few genuine dollar bills and ask the buyer to check with the money exchange company. He also said after the blank papers goes through the process, the waiting period is 10 minutes before the papers turn into dollars.He also reportedly told the victims, not to print more than 3,000 dollars a day, saying the machine is timed not to print more.The suspect was arrested after police set a trap for him.
