KUWAIT CITY, March 1: The Kuwaiti and Filipino domestic labor recruitment offices held a virtual meeting through Zoom application recently, during which they discussed some pending issues in preparation for the resumption of the recruitment of Filipino domestic workers in March, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources. Sources pointed out that the meeting slated for March 9 will be a decisive factor in the resumption of the recruitment of Filipino domestic workers as the representatives of domestic labor recruitment offices will deliberate on the regulations which will be applied upon resumption of the recruitment process, including the designation of a liaison officer between the offices and workers to follow up contracts and ensure strict compliance among employers.

Sources affirmed that once the mechanism for implementing the new regulations is finalized, the door will be opened for new contracts and recruitment from the Philippines in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding ‘Besalamah’ platform and issuance of new visas by the Ministry of Interior.
