Bangladesh Military Contingents celebrates Armed Forces Day

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 21: Bangladesh Military Contingents (BMC) to Kuwait celebrated Bangladesh Armed Forces Day with due solemnity and festivity on 21 November 2022. On behalf of the Chief of General Staff, Kuwait Armed Forces, Major General Dr. Khaled Ali Al Kandari, Assistant Chief of Staff (Administration and Manpower Department) Kuwait Armed Forces, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The chief guest acknowledged the contribution and sacrifices of Bangladeshi troops since 1991 and optimized that the relation between two armed forces will reach to an optimal level in future days.

Besides, senior officers of Kuwait Armed Forces, Defence Attachés of different countries, Bangladesh Embassy officials, and representatives of Bangladesh community in Kuwait were among the spectators of this colourful event. At the outset, Commander BMC, Brigadier General Md Tajul Islam Thakur, BSP, SGP, ndc, afwc, psc, G, MPhil delivered his welcome speech.

His Excellency, the Ambassador of Bangladesh addressed the august gathering highlighting the importance of the day and emphasizing on the glorious history of friendship between Bangladesh and Kuwait. Enchanted display of band, acrobatic display and march past by BMC soldiers delighted all guests.

A short video clip on the glorious history of Bangladesh Armed Forces and operational activities of Bangladesh Military Contingents in Kuwait was also showcased. Exhibition of photo gallery was of another great attraction for the guests and acted as a remembrance for many. Projection of Bangladesh armed forces since 1971 and the gradual development of BMC since its inception in 1991, was the main focus of these projections. BMC Magazine-2022 was unveiled during the program.
