Asian trio held at airport; Policewoman detained

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12: Three Asian expatriates were arrested at Kuwait airport for various offenses, reports Al-Shahed daily. The first suspect was without civil ID and officers later discovered an arrest order had been issued against him, while the second suspect absconded from the sponsor, and the third suspect was banned from entering Kuwait. All three Asians were referred to Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station and later to the General Residency Affairs Department for necessary action.

Cop detained: A policewoman was detained for humiliating and attempting to run over a patrolman, reports Al-Rai daily. Apparently, the policewoman was driving through Hawalli area when a patrolman affiliated to Public Security Sector pulled her up for checking. She became incensed and humiliated the officer and decided to drive away. She attempted to run over the officer when he tried to prevent her from leaving. The incident was reported to officers at the area police station and a case was registered against the woman. She was summoned and detained for investigation.

Trespasser beaten: A citizen born in 1993 was severely beaten for entering the house of another citizen in Khaitan area, reports Al-Anba daily. A security source said the victim’s family went to Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station and reported the incident, saying their son was severely beaten by another citizen in Khaitan area for entering his house. They supported medical report showing various injuries he sustained in the head, chest, arms and legs, in addition to cuts and bruises.
