Around 700 Filipino domestics repatriated

KUWAIT CITY, June 18: The Home Employment Department upon instructions from the Director-General of the General Department for Residence Affairs facilitated the departure of 700 Filipino domestic workers between May 12, 2018 and just a few days before the Eid-Al-Fitr, reports Al-Anba daily quoting security sources.

The daily said, these workers were involved in some ‘misunderstandings’ with their employers and had shown their desire to return home. The daily added the department after completing all procedures, ensured there were no cases against them and also made sure that all their financial dues were settled.
