KUWAIT CITY, April 25: A Kuwaiti citizen, who is wanted by law for enforcing a sentence of two year imprisonment issued against him over a drug case, was arrested in possession of unlicensed weapons and ammunition such as four Kalashnikovs, six pistols and rifles as well as drugs. According to a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, when General Department for Weapons Security received information about a Kuwaiti citizen in possession of unlicensed weapons and ammunition, a team headed by Lieutenant Colonel Hamad Al-Ajmi was formed by Assistant Director General for Weapons Security Colonel Waleed Shabab under the guidance of Director General for Weapons Security Brigadier Abdulrahman Al-Suhail.

After confirming the information and taking necessary legal measures, the suspect’s house in Sabahiya area was raided during which the officers found four Kalashnikovs, six pistols and rifles and other unlicensed weapons as well as drugs. The suspect was arrested and referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for investigations and necessary legal action against him.

Two driving drunk: Police have arrested two Kuwaitis for possessing and driving under the influence of alcohol, reports Al- Anba daily. The daily added, the drunkards were seized at a checkpoint by the Al-Salam police. Police have seized from the car two bottles of booze and referred the men to the police station.

Kuwaiti duo held: Two Kuwaiti citizens were arrested in Fintas area in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to security sources, securitymen were patrolling Fintas area when they suspected a vehicle with two occupants parked in a lot near a restaurant. They checked the details of the individuals to discover they are Kuwaiti citizens and checked them to find drugs and special syringes, which they confessed they stole from hospitals. The two suspects were arrested and referred with the drugs to the Directorate General for Drugs Control for necessary legal action against them.
