Al-Qadsia SC and Al-Kuwait have dominated the general and youth races of the cross-country running championship.
Al-Qadsia led the general team race while Al-Kuwait came second and Al-Sahel third in the championship.
The tournament was organized by Kuwait Athletics Association (KAA) close to Jaber Al-Ahmad Stadium on Saturday evening.
In the individual tier, Abdul-Rahman Abbas - of Al-Kuwait, came first, followed by Mohammad Salman - Al-Qadsia, and Omar Al-Rashidi - Al-Fahahil.
In the youth team tier, Al-Kuwait won, followed by Al-Qadesia and Kazema respectively.
Hussein Mohsen, of A-Kuwait, won the title of the youth individual tier, followed by his teammate Jassem Mohammad while Al-Qadsia’s Ahmad Abdul-Nasser came in the third place.
Speaking to KUNA on the sidelines of the award ceremony, KAA Secretary Khaled Khalifa said the Kuwaiti racers showed a higher degree of skillfulness during the events.
Affirming the commitment of association to improve the skills of Kuwaiti athletes and foster a new generation of professionals, Khalifa said KAA has organized similar competitions for the youth and youngsters yesterday. (KUNA)
