NEW DELHI, June 30: Kuwait’s Al- Kuwait SC were crowned champions after they managed to defeat Bahrain’s Al-Najma 28-23 in the 24th Asian Men’s Club League Handball Championship held in India’s Hyderabad. Kuwait’s Qadsia SC defeated their Qatari counterparts Al-Arabi 28-27 earlier today to claim the bronze medal. Al-Wakrah of Qatar beat Saudi Arabia’s Al-Noor with a 30-24 final score to bag the fifth while Iran’s Mes Kerman defeated hosts T-Sports of India 33-28 to get the seventh position in the championship. With this victory, Kuwait qualify for the Club World Cup “Super Globe”, which will be held next October in Saudi Arabia. (KUNA)
