Al-Faris hands over to PM ministry’s ‘executive plan’

Strategy seeks to invest expertise in the ministry

KUWAIT CITY, April 19, (KUNA): Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Dr Rana Al- Faris handed over to HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah the strategic executive plan of the Ministry of Public Works for Vision 2035 –the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) issued by her ministry. Minister Al-Faris told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) after meeting the Prime Minister, that the strategy seeks to invest the expertise in the ministry and complete the efforts of the work teams towards achieving the vision of New Kuwait 2035.

She emphasized the ministry also seeks to enhance the role of the national component, build the capabilities of national workforce, empower and develop this workforce, since it is the main pillar of the comprehensive development to achieve the civilizational renaissance of Kuwait. For his part, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works, Ismail Al- Failakawi, said in a similar statement to (KUNA) that the KPIs is universally applicable to companies, institutions and governments, and explained that the application of this system needs special detail to suit the ministry’s tasks and competencies.

Al-Failakawi added the system measures the performance of employees during the year through the extent to which they achieve the goals set for each supervisory or leadership position. He stated that the system links the goals to be achieved with the strategic goals and plans of the state Vision 2035, and ensures the existence of a self-drive for all sectors of the ministry towards achieving this vision by activating the idea of effective planning calling it the main engine of the ministry.
