KUWAIT CITY, Dec 26: Actress Souad Abdullah will be the guest of honor at Oman Cinema Festival which will be held in March, reports Al-Nahar daily quoting sources. Sources confirmed that Abdullah, who is known as ‘Ohm Talal’, will participate in the opening ceremony of the festival and then return to Kuwait to resume shooting for her new drama. Meanwhile, Rotana Audio Visual Company officials are still in negotiations to hold a concert in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Jan 15, 2018, reports Al-Anba daily. The company has addressed the concerned Saudi authorities while singers Nawal Al-Kuwaitiyya and Assala – a Syrian – have agreed to participate in the concert.

Actress Fatma Al-Saffi expressed her happiness over the chance to work with fellow actress Souad Abdullah as this will broaden her experience in artistic and humanitarian fields, reports Al-Rai daily. Al-Saffitold the daily that she is currently busy shooting her two drama series – “Ham Nawaya” and “Ezwety”.

Anwar Abdullah has finished composing the theme song titled “Rahbt Ana We Halait” of the upcoming Gulf Football Cup Championship “Khaleeji 23”, which will kick off on Friday at the Jaber International Stadium, reports Al-Anba daily. He composed the song based on instructions from the Assistant Undersecretary for Broadcasting Affairs Sheikh Fahad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah and under the supervision of Meshari Al-Ba’ejan. The singers will be Abdulkareem Abdulqadir, Abdullah Rowaished and Nabeel Shuaib.

Poet Sheikh Duaij Al-Khalifa expressed happiness over the success of the concert of Iraqi singer Oras Sattar at Duaij Al-Khalifa Al-Sabah Theater, reports Al-Rai daily. Speaking to the daily, Al-Khalifa affirmed the concert is one of the most successful in Kuwait this year. He also announced the concert of Taqseem Trio – a Turkish band – on Jan 4, 2018 at Abdulhussin Abdul Reda Theater in Salmiya.
