KUWAIT CITY, Sep 5: The Ministry of Interior in Hawally busted nine apartments which were converted into a liquor factory by 4 Nepali citizens. Information was received that Asians had converted 9 apartments in a building located in Hawally into a liquor factory. The security men and Kuwait Municipality in joint operation first cordoned the area and raided the apartments.

Four Asians were arrested before they could escape the place, on checking their Civil ID cards it was found they were from Nepal and one of them was on the wanted list of the Residency Affairs Department.

The place was raided, alcohol was poured out, hundreds of barrels were found along with distillation tools and bottles filled with liquor which was ready for sale.

The Municipal team took care of transporting liquor barrels. Four Nepali men were referred to the competent authority to take legal measures against them.
