162 expats arrested, 54 traffic violations issued in various areas of Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, June 13: The Ministry of Interior announced that in its campaign to arrest residence violators, criminals and labor law violators, the Public Security Sector arrested 162 violators and issued 54 traffic violations in a number of governorates of the country.

In a statement to the General Administration of Relations and Security Media, the ministry said that the Jahra Governorate Security Directorate carried out a security campaign in the Amghara area (Wood Scrapyard) and resulted in the arrest of 53 people.

The Farwaniya Governorate Security Directorate launched a security campaign in the Khaitan area, which resulted in the arrest of 109 people, from these 55 had expired residence permits, 53 absconders, and one person was arrested with drugs, in addition 54 traffic violations were issued.
The Ahmadi Governorate Security Directorate arrested an Asian resident in the Fahaheel area, whose residency had expired, in possession of suspected narcotics. All the arrested persons have been referred to the competent authorities to take legal measures against them.
