KUWAIT CITY, July 14: The efforts of the Criminal Security Sector in apprehending drug dealers and cracking down on their facilitators persist.

In a recent operation, the Criminal Security Sector successfully apprehended twelve suspects found in possession of approximately 2.5 kilograms of various narcotics, 500 psychotropic pills, 431 bottles of imported wine, and a sum of money totaling around 19,585 Kuwaiti dinars.

The Ministry of the Interior remains steadfast in its commitment to combat the harmful impact of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, safeguarding the well-being of the nation’s youth. Consequently, the General Department for Narcotics Control, a division of the Criminal Security Sector, played a pivotal role in apprehending the twelve suspects, comprising one Kuwaiti individual, four non-Kuwaiti individuals, four Arab nationals, and three Asian nationals. The seized items included drugs, psychotropic pills, imported wine, and the aforementioned sum of money.

Upon facing the evidence seized from their possession, the defendants admitted their ownership of the confiscated items with the intention of trafficking and abuse. Consequently, both the individuals involved and the seized items were handed over to the appropriate authorities for necessary legal action.

The General Administration of Security Relations and Media emphasizes the continuous efforts of security personnel in confronting drug dealers, smugglers, and any individuals seeking to harm the country’s youth. It underscores the importance of collective endeavors to eradicate drug dealers and promoters.

The administration encourages the public to collaborate with security personnel and report any suspicious activities by contacting the emergency phone line (112) or the hotline of the General Department for Drug Control (1884141). Your cooperation in combating this menace is greatly appreciated.
