‘Valid driving licence must for registration, buying car’

KUWAIT CITY, July 18: Ministry of Interior has started the implementation of a new mechanism that prevents citizens and expatriates from renewing the registration of their cars or buying new cars without a valid driving license, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily quoting security sources said the driving license will be withdrawn from whosoever changes his job. As per a circular issued by the Directorate General of Service Centers, a citizen or an expatriate will not be allowed to renew the registration of his car or buy new car if he doesn’t hold a valid driving license. With regard to an expatriate changing his jobs, the circular indicated he won’t be able to obtain a new driving license unless the new job designation meets the relevant condition for obtaining license.
