KUWAIT CITY, Aug 29: The General Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior plans to activate Article 393 of the traffic law, which will ban the entry of expatriate company representatives (mandoub) and drivers for two years from the date of exiting the country for good, reports Al-Anba daily quoting a reliable source.

The source explained the decision has been taken after it was widely noticed some expatriates take advantage of the law to get driving licences — since the company representatives and the drivers qualify for driving licences — and then leave the country and enter on another visa with a change of profession. When such expatriates leave the country, they are obliged to surrender the licences or if they don’t their licences will be automatically cancelled.
