Two Iranian Air Defense Personnel Killed in Israeli Strikes, Iran Media Reports

TEHRAN, Jun 9: Two Iranian air defense personnel were killed in Israeli strikes on Monday, according to IRGC-affiliated Tasnim News, with Iranian state media also confirming the deaths.

The personnel were identified as Bahman Hosseini and Alireza Abiri, both members of Iran’s air defense forces. State television said at least two members of the army’s air defense unit were killed during what it described as “aggression by the Zionist regime.”

“These esteemed martyrs of the Army Air Defense Force attained martyrdom while carrying out their mission of defending the country’s skies,” Iranian state TV reported.

Following the reports, Iranian lawmaker Mahmoud Nabavian called for retaliation, stating that “avenging the blood of these two must not be forgotten.”

The reported deaths come amid continuing hostilities between Israel and Iran, with both sides exchanging strikes in recent days as regional tensions escalate.
