Two cops probed – ‘Verbal spat’

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 15: The Ministry of the Interior has opened an investigation with two policemen, one in the outlets and the other in protecting ground freight, after the former forcibly stopped the colleague on the Seventh Ring Road, insulted him and fled, reports Al-Rai daily.

A security source said the policeman who works in the protection of ground freight, was on duty on the Seventh Ring Road, and while he was escorting a number of trucks he was surprised by a man in uniform in civilian car intercepting his way in a manner that put his life at risk and forced him to pull over, climbed out of his vehicle, insulted him and drove off.

The source added that police patrols chased the fugitive until he reached the Riqqa area and forced him to stop. On checking his ID, police found he works for the General Department of Land Ports, and was taken to the Riqqa Police Station, and after listening to his statements, he was referred to the Ahmadi Police Station.
