Three Egyptian girls perish in early morning Sulaibikhat fire

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 19: Three Egyptian children (girls) died Thursday morning when fire gutted their house in Sulaibikhat, reports Al-Qabas daily. The victims are believed to be 3, 6 and 10 years old and they died of asphyxiation. Initial reports show the fire was caused by an electric short circuit. It has also been reported at the time of the fire the parents of the victims were not at home. The remains of the victims have been referred to Forensics. In other news, a firefighter and eight others sustained burns in two fire incidents. In the first incident a fire broke out in a house in Khaldiya and another in a residential building in Hawalli. Without going into details the daily said the fires were put out in record time and the injured were taken to a hospital.

Pakistani killed: A Pakistani expatriate died in a hit-and-run accident in Sulaibiya area, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, when securitymen received information about the accident, they rushed to the location and found the victim’s body on the road. They referred it to the Forensics Department and a case was registered for investigations to find and arrest the hit-and-run driver.
