Shimmari, tried by Aussie court for allegedly supporting IS, a ‘bedoun’

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 19: Mohammad Mutlaq Hantoush Keyad Al-Shimmari who is being tried by an Australian court for allegedly openly professing his supporting for the Islamic State or the so-called DAESH is a bedoun, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources the suspect was born in July 1989. After completing his primary education he joined a nursing institute and graduated in 2010 and was in charge of Patients Help Fund Society. The sources added he always maintained good and distinguished relations with his friends and colleagues and is known to be of quiet character.

12 drug pills seized: Customs officers at the Kuwait International Airport have arrested an unidentified Asian for attempting to smuggle into the country 12 drug pills, reports Al-Rai daily. The drugs were found hidden in the baggage. He has been handed over to the General Department for Drugs Control.

Egyptian held for drugs: The Hawally police have arrested an Egyptian for consuming drugs, reports Annahar daily. The suspect who is believed to be 44 years old is identified as M.A. He was caught in Salmiya by a police patrol. Police have seized from him hashish, shabu, chemicals and drug consuming tools. The suspect and the contraband have been referred to the General Department for Drugs Control.

Police captain gets bail: An unidentified police captain who was arrested recently while on his way to Turkey via the Hurgada airport for possessing drugs has been released on bail, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, preparations are underway to bring back the suspect to Kuwait
