Officials present trophies to victorious riders.

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 9: The horse “Shamikh Al-Asimi”, owned by Al-Mutlaa Stable and trained by Abdulrahman Al-Ajmi, ridden by jockey Daniel, secured an impressive victory, claiming the Al-Shaya Stud Cup—presented by owner Abdulatif Ahmed Al-Shaya—for Arabian horses of Egyptian bloodlines.

The race was held over 1,800 meters, with Shamikh finishing in 2:28.87 minutes during the sixth race meeting at the Hunting and Equestrian Club.

The trophy was awarded to Al-Mutlaa Stable by Abdulatif Al-Shaya, owner of Al-Shaya Stud, and Alaa Al-Roumi, owner of Al-Raya Stud.

This victory marks Shamikh Al-Asimi’s second win of the season, having previously claimed the Al-Muryat Stud Cup for owner Nawaf Jassem Al-Shihab during the second meeting.

Horse judge and Arabian horse breeder, and owner of Al-Shaya Stud, Abdulatif Ahmed Al-Shaya, expressed his pride in supporting the sport of purebred Arabian horses.

He reaffirmed his commitment to promoting Arabian horse activities—whether beauty shows or racing—to preserve this rich and cherished heritage shared by horse lovers worldwide.

The past five race meetings at the Hunting and Equestrian Club saw victories by Sahab, Shamikh Al-Asimi, Thamer Al-Shaghran, Lazzaz Al-Amiriyah, and Khattaf Al-Nawader in races sponsored by various studs, including:

Al-Muryat Stud (Nawaf Al-Shihab)

Al-Durrah Stud (Faisal Al-Ahmed)

Al-Adhba Stud (Dr. Jarallah Al-Marri)

In the remaining races of the day:

“Social Science” won the Club Cup over 2,000 meters,

and “Shock Wave” claimed the Club Cup for the 1,400-meter race.
