Shamal Az-Zour Co earns more than $19m H1 2021

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 10: Shamal Az-Zour Al- Oula Power and Water Company has reaped KD 6.4 million (USD 19.2 million) worth of net profits in H1 20201 compared to KD 5.9 million (USD 17.7) earnings in H1 2020. The company said in a statement posted on Boursa Kuwait on Tuesday that the dividend per share stood at 5.84 fils in H1 2021 against 5.44 fils in H1 2020. It attributed the rise of profits largely to decline of the financing costs. The company, established in 2013, was listed at the local bourse in 2020. Its capital amounts to KD 110 million (USD 330 million) The company has built, operated and maintained the northern Az- Zor power station (the first phase), (KUNA).
