School Principal in trouble – KD 1 fees to be part of WhatsApp Group

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 21: The principal of the secondary school who requested guardians of his students to pay KD 1 fee to be part of the WhatsApp group, has been referred to the legal affairs of the Ministry because of this strange behavior, reports Al-Jarida daily.
In a circular issued the principal of the secondary school in Hawalli had requested the guardians of female students for their mobile numbers to help the school create a WhatsApp group to allow the school to contact them about results of the students. Commenting on the incident, Director of Hawally Educational Area Mansour Al-Thufairi said the Ministry’s bylaws don’t permit requesting guardians to pay any money.
