LOP BURI, Thailand, May 24: In a sting operation that looked more like a street performance than a police raid, Thai officers pulled off a dramatic undercover arrest by disguising themselves as a dance troupe to catch a suspected drug dealer off guard.

According to local reports, police in Tha Luang district staged the elaborate ruse after tracking the suspect, identified as Mekha Fa-wap-wap, who was wanted on drug and illegal gambling charges. Blending into the surroundings as a performing group, the officers waited for the right moment before moving in swiftly to arrest the suspect without triggering suspicion or resistance.

Authorities later confirmed the seizure of 53 methamphetamine pills along with a mobile phone believed to be linked to the alleged criminal activity. The suspect is currently in custody and is facing further legal proceedings as investigators continue to examine the case. The unusual operation has drawn attention for its theatrical approach, highlighting the increasingly creative tactics law enforcement agencies are using in the fight against drug-related crime.
