Officer shot, injured in raid on drug trafficker’s den

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 16: Police have arrested an unidentified drug trafficker for shooting at and injuring an officer from the General Department for Drugs Control (GDDC) during a raid on the home of a drug trafficker, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to the security sources, this happened in Sulaibiya when officers from the GDDC acting on information raided the house of the suspect. Police managed to arrest the suspect and seized from his home a quantity of drugs. The injured Captain was taken to the hospital by personnel from the Emergency Medical Services.
