No new cases of coronavirus infection detected in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 29: Health Ministry today in a press conference today Spokesperson, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad stated that no new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) was reported in last 24 hrs.


The spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, reassured that the 45 people infected with the virus are in stable conditions.

He said further stated everyone should take ways to prevent and not be present in crowded communities and areas.

He pointed out that medical team from the World Health Organization is present in Kuwait at the request of the Ministry of Health.

Assistant Undersecretary of Public Health Dr. Buthaina Al-Mudhaf said about the procedures for those coming from Egypt preventive measures have been taken at the arrival and no infection has been found. The Ministry is in contact with the World Health Organization to assess the situation in Egypt.

She said there are no fees for Expats in examination of coronavirus and there is no ban on the exit of any non-Kuwaiti to leave Kuwait, and she explained that no cases infection has been detected who arrived from Italy.

If any expat is found to be infected, we will deal according to the examination and same procedures applied to Kuwaiti citizens
