KUWAIT CITY, July 30: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works, Engineer Ismail Al-Failakawi and a number of senior officials of the ministry discussed with the Kuwait Oil Company officials ways of exchanging and transferring expertise of “management system with goals and performance indicators” within the framework for enhancing mutual cooperation between the two sides since the KOC is pioneer in this field for more than 15 years, reports Al- Seyassah daily.

It is worth noting that the concept of measuring performance indicators is a system followed in professionally developed institutions by which the quality of planning and setting goals for distinguished job achievement and improving performance in the work environment and developing leadership skills are measured as well as the extent of workers’ satisfaction with the level of performance within the work environment.

The Ministry of Public Works seeks to implement this system and link the measurement of performance indicators with the strategic objectives of the ministry associated with the vision of ‘New Kuwait 2035’ of HH the Amir.

The meeting also comes after the Ministry of Public Works trained 200 employees in supervisory positions on this system with a desire to achieve the goal of its application.

On the other hand, the Central Authority for Public Tenders on July 26, 2020, has approved the request of the Ministry of Public Works to fl oat a tender for consulting services, and to study the design of the project – headquarters of the Investment Promotion Authority.

The sources said the tender of the consulting services to study the design of the headquarters of the Investment Promotion Authority will go according to the legal frameworks and regulations in force of the Central Agency for Public Tenders in its capacity as responsible for organizing purchases and tenders of government agencies.
