MoCI receives 2,028 requests for registration of trademarks

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 16: Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has announced that the Department of Trademarks and Patents received 2,028 requests for registration of trademarks through its website in the month of September, reports Al-Rai daily.

In a press statement, the ministry explained that it completed 818 transactions related to trademark registrations, and 822 transactions for brand publishing, and 388 transactions for trademark certifications.

It also completed 214 transactions for renewal of trademarks, and 253 transactions related to requests for changing the name and address of the trademark owner, for transferring ownership or changing the name of registration agent. It received 22 requests of objection to registration of trademark including 18 objections to the acceptance of trademarks, and four requests for a hearing session, and 16 grievances.
