Mall Parking Row in Kuwait Turns Ugly, Woman Vandalizes Expat’s Vehicle

KUWAIT CITY, Jun 9: A heated parking dispute at a shopping mall in the Al-Masayel area escalated into a criminal case after a woman allegedly vandalized an expatriate’s vehicle in a fit of anger, security sources said.

The incident reportedly began when an expatriate, accompanied by his wife and children, parked his car at the mall. Moments later, a woman confronted them in the parking area, shouting insults and accusing the expatriate’s wife of taking a space she believed was hers.

According to the source, the expatriate chose not to engage in the confrontation and entered the mall with his family. However, upon returning, he discovered his vehicle had been scratched on both sides.

Shocked by the damage, he filed a complaint at the Mubarak Al-Kabeer police station, identifying the woman involved in the earlier argument as a suspect.

Detectives later reviewed CCTV footage from the area, which allegedly confirmed that the same woman had intentionally damaged the vehicle after the altercation. She was summoned for questioning and, according to the source, confessed to scratching the car out of anger following the dispute.

The case has been referred to the General Department of Investigations for further legal action.
