Plan B to be implemented gradually: Manfouhi

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 22: Engineer Muhammad Sarkhoh, head of the Farwaniya Municipality branch, was recently quoted as saying in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh there is an opportunity for large companies to improve the housing conditions of their workers, reports Al-Rai daily.

During a field inspection tour by personnel from the Public Authority for Manpower he laid emphasis on the companies that they must protect the rights of their employees.

In a statement to the daily, he said the Director-General of the Kuwait Municipality, Eng Ahmad Al-Manfouhi, is following the conditions in the area, especially since he recently requested an extension of the Municipality work noting that authorities participating in the committee, focus on companies with government contracts, and therefore there is a sufficient period of 6 months to improve their conditions.

He revealed, a second plan will be announced soon to deal with the rest of the violations in the area, especially since the committee has come a long way in administratively closing the violating stores.

He added, there will also be a closure with no extension and renewal of some commercial activities in the area, including a pharmacy, a company selling construction materials, and money exchange since the renewal is currently being done according to the automated system, and moreover issuance of licenses for these activities is suspended.
