Kuwait’s Al-Aswad bags gold at CMAS World Championship ’22

RABAT, June 11: Bader Al-Aswad, of Kuwait’s national sport diving team, won the gold medal of the lifesaving competition of the CMAS Sport Diving World Senior and Junior Championships, being held in Morocco, on Saturday.

Head of the Kuwaiti mission to the championships Mohammad Al-Sar’awi hailed the win signals the high level of the sport diving in Kuwait. In statements to KUNA, Al-Sar’awi, secretary general of Kuwait Diving and Lifesaving Club, attributed Al-Aswad’s achievement to the support of the manager of the Kuwaiti national team Ali Al-Sayegh.

He also appreciated the support of the Public Authority for Sport, chaired by Talal Al-Sarhan, and Kuwait Diving and Lifesaving Club. CMAS World Championship 2022 is being organized by the ‘Confederation Mondiale des Activites Subaquatiques’ (CMAS or World Underwater Federation) with divers from 23 countries taking part.(KUNA)
