Kuwaiti victim of Egyptian Harras high-handedness, loses flat

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 2: A Kuwaiti citizen was shocked when he returned from overseas to discover his apartment in Hawally was rented out to another tenant by the Egyptian caretaker of the building, reports Al-Rai daily.

The citizen had traveled overseas for medical treatment. Upon arrival in Kuwait, he went straight to his apartment in Hawally to relax after a long trip and to recuperate.

However, he was shocked when he was unable to open the front door with his keys. When he knocked on the door, a new occupant opened the door and informed him that he rented the apartment from the caretaker.

The man quickly called the caretaker, who also declared that the accommodation has been rented out to somebody else due to failure in payment of rent. When he inquired about his belongings and furniture, the caretaker responded by saying that the new tenant might have stolen them. The man immediately rushed to the police station of the area to file a case of theft.
