KUWAIT CITY, Oct 10: The Kuwait School Sports Federation and Higher Education have announced their readiness to compete in the International School Sports Games, which will be held in Manama, Bahrain, under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa from October 24 to 31. The event will bring together over 5,000 participants from more than 70 countries, competing in 26 different sports. This broad participation highlights Bahrain's status as a prominent global sports destination.

The Kuwaiti delegation, led by Faisal Abdullah Al-Maqseed, Chairman of the Kuwait School Sports Federation and Higher Education, will compete in four sports: Athletics, Judo, Gymnastics, and Archery. The delegation comprises 45 members, including 28 male and female athletes, alongside 17 technical, administrative, and medical staff, as well as referees. The participants, all born between 2006 and 2009, are school students carefully selected based on their skills.

Dr. Mutab Al-Mutairi, General Supervisor of Physical Education at the Ministry of Education and Vice President of the Federation emphasized the delegation's readiness for the games. He noted that this is the first time the Federation is participating in a global event, following a successful participation in the Arab Championship held in Cairo last November. Dr. Al-Mutairi expressed optimism about achieving positive results in the World School Games, marking Kuwait’s entry onto the global stage and reinforcing the nation’s school sports program. He added that the players and technical staff were chosen for their high level of skill, and he has full confidence in their ability to perform well, reflecting the Federation’s strategy, "Our Talents in Our Schools 2021-2026," and its positive outcomes.
