Kuwaiti counselor found drunk; Fake cop thief held

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 25:Police have arrested a Kuwaiti for driving under the influence of alcohol and crashing into the car of a compatriot which was parked in front of his house, reports Al-Rai daily. When the police went to arrest the man, he claimed he works as counselor for a very vital government department, but his excuse was rejected. However, a case of driving under the influence of alcohol has been registered against him.

Fake cop thief held: Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) have finally arrested the Kuwaiti who was impersonating police and robbing expatriates, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, the impersonator chose his victims very carefully. He would stop them in open areas, demand to see their Civil ID and then rob their money. After his arrest, the suspect initially denied the charges against him, but admitted to robbing them when he was singled out from a police line-up.
