Kuwaiti celebrates after scoring.

DOHA, Oct 23: Kuwait national handball team will conclude the preliminary round matches of the second group in the Asian qualifiers for the 2024 Paris Olympics when they face off against the Kazakh national team at 11:00 am.

Kuwait currently occupy fourth place without points while Kazakhstan also languishes at the bottom of the group, yet tied with Kuwait on goal difference.
Bahrain and Iran will also clash within the same group. Meanwhile, in the first group, the UAE will compete against India, China will take on Korea, and Qatar will face Saudi Arabia.
Over the past three matches, Kuwait struggled to secure positive results against Iran, Japan, and Bahrain, mainly due to the notable absence of key players from the backline. Nevertheless, the team showcased exceptional technical prowess.

Algerian coach Saeed Hegazy is eagerly anticipating a victory that could secure two valuable points, boosting the Blues’ position in the consolation rounds. This would not only enhance their standings but also rekindle the winning spirit among the players.

On the other side of the court, the Kazakhstan national team is a notable guest in the tournament. So far, they have failed to display convincing performances and haven’t achieved any positive results.

However, they are determined to put their full effort into seeking a historic victory that would leave a lasting mark in their records.
