Kuwait enjoys deep relations with all countries: Al-Hamad

KUWAIT CITY, March 20: Kuwait has deep relations and close friendships with all countries, thanks to diplomatic policies and cooperation in all domains, said a Kuwaiti diplomat on Saturday. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the heritage cultural festival held by the accredited diplomatic missions and international organizations in Kuwait, Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs Ambassador Sami Al- Hamad said the path of boosting humanitarian diplomacy with all countries raised Kuwait’s status internationally. Kuwait has gained the respect of all, thanks to its initiatives that pushed the country to advance its international friendships in boosting partnerships, development and investment, he said.

Al-Hamad lauded the deeprooted ties with the friendly and sisterly countries participating in the festival, noting that these ties include economic, political, social and cultural cooperation.

Meanwhile, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Kuwait Zubaydullo Zubaydzoda expressed delight at the development of ties with Kuwait over the past period, despite the coronavirus repercussions. He said in a similar statement that Kuwait is renowned for offering several initiatives that help the vulnerable in many countries. In addition, he extolled Kuwait’s aid to many countries that aim to alleviate the consequences of the pandemic. Zubaydzoda thanked His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti government and Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nasser for their attention, care and facilitations offered to international organizations and embassies in Kuwait.

Moreover, Isa Al-Ansari, Acting Secretary General of National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature (NCCAL), expressed gratitude to the diplomatic missions that took part in the festival. He said that Kuwait is keep on promoting cultural ties, and sharing ideas and visions with all countries all over the world. Meanwhile, the 27th session of Al-Qurain Cultural Festival will kick off Monday with several events and activities over nine days. Secretary General of National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) Isa Al-Ansari said in a statement on Saturday the event would be held under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al- Hamad Al-Sabah. He pointed out the festival will distribute the state’s awards for 2021 and honor Sheikh Suad Al- Sabah as the Arab personality for the International poetry day. He revealed that it would also include a number of workshops that keep pace with scientific and cultural development to boost knowledge and communication tools as well as develop digital culture in the country. Al-Ansari pointed to the comprehensive plastic exhibition in which a group of fine arts artists will participate, in addition to other artistic and musical activities. , (KUNA)
