Killer on the run for 18 years caught walking at dawn time – Man threatens to throw baby from roof

KUWAIT CITY, July 21: A Kuwaiti, who evaded justice for 18 years in relation to a murder case, has been referred to the Criminal Investigation Department, reports Al-Anba daily. According to sources, security patrols affiliated to Hawally Security Directorate got suspicious of the citizen who was walking at dawn along Al-Ta’awn Street. They approached him and asked him to present his civil ID. He appeared agitated, so the officers checked his security records and they discovered he is wanted by law for a murder case filed against him in 1998.

Baby rescued: Investigation officers referred an unidentified person, who was under the influence of drugs, to Taima Police station for attempting to throw his 10-month old baby from the roof of his house in Jahra, reports Al-Rai daily. Immediately after receiving a call from a citizen who reported the incident, the Operations Unit in the Interior Ministry dispatched officers to the location where they found the baby’s mother crying desperately. The officers surrounded the house, went up to the roof and rescued the baby. An attempted murder case was registered against the father and investigations are underway
