Killer dad caught; Asian held with ‘paan’ at Kuwait International Airport

KUWAIT CITY, March 21: The Hawally police have arrested a Kuwaiti man who was wanted by law for allegedly killing his daughter some time ago in Adailiya in a magic and sorcery-related incident, reports Al-Shahed daily. The suspect was allegedly wearing a mask and when a police officer stopped him to issue a traffic citation behind a well-know shopping mall in Salmiya, the officer discovered he was wanted by law. He was wanted by law not only for allegedly murdering his daughter but also failing to pay KD 100,000 debt. He has been handed over to the concerned authorities.

Asian held with ‘paan’: An Asian expatriate was arrested at Kuwait International Airport in possession of one kilogram of betel leaves, says Al-Seyassah. According to sources, customs officers were checking the luggage of passengers who arrived from an Asian country when they came across a bag of betel leaves inside the baggage of one of the passengers. After they seized him and questioned him, he confessed to smuggling the betel leaves into the country to use with his friends. He was arrested and referred with the confiscated betel leaves to the Drugs Control General Department for necessary legal action. Meanwhile, a Syrian driver of a heavy vehicle was arrested at Abdali border checkpoint in possession of a piece of hashish.
