‘Imams’ under probe

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 8: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has referred seven Imams of various mosques for investigation as they allegedly allowed unauthorized societies to collect donations and the collection of cash donations during Ramadan, reports Arabic dailies. Sources confirmed the ministry will punish these Imams soon, in addition to making them sign pledges to refrain from committing such violations in the future.
