Fish-kill probed

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 26: Teams from the Department of Environment Control and Monitoring Affairs are dealing with report the sector received through members of the public and the environmental police concerning masses of dead fish washed up at Doha beach, opposite Jaber Bridge.

Sources from the Environment Public Authority (EPA) affirmed that the department has since collected samples from the location to determine circumstances of the dead fish washed ashore. Few days ago, video of a huge pile of dead fish at Doha beach went viral on social media, raising questions on the cause of the massive demise due to the fact that fishermen have stopped fishing in the area for a long period of time.
