Fire wrecks jet-ski repairing shops in Shuwaikh

KUWAIT CITY, May 18: Three firefighting teams succeeded in extinguishing a huge fire that engulfed six shops in Shuwaikh Industrial Area.

In a press release, the Public Relations and Media Department of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) explained that the Control Room of KFSD, after receiving information about the fire, dispatched three firefighting teams to the location along with securitymen and paramedics.

Upon arrival, they discovered that the fire has engulfed garages that repair jet-skis and four shops that sell construction materials, spreading over an area of 200 square meters. The fire was extinguished before it spread further. No casualties were reported. Investigations have been launched to determine the cause of the fire. High-ranking officials were present at the location.
