Filipina caught with liquor in security crackdown

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 2: Officers from Public Security sector carried out security campaigns in various locations within the country during which they arrested a Filipina woman in possession of 67 bottles of locally manufactured liquor, 70 individuals who are wanted by law, 46 individuals suspected to be involved in different cases, 15 individuals reported as absconding and 25 individuals who did not have their identification documents. According to a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the officers also seized seven vehicles. In addition they arrested 13 individuals with expired residencies, 11 individuals accused of theft and gambling and 11 others for different issues such as vandalism, driving cars without driving licenses and theft. The arrested individuals were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.

54 motorists held: Officers from General Traffic Department issued 43,860 traffic citations, seized 1,801 wanted vehicles and arrested 54 motorists who committed huge violations as well as referred 6 expatriates for deportation for driving vehicles without driving licenses during traffic campaigns launched in all six governorates from Oct 25 to Oct 31. In a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the department affirmed that it will continue to organize such campaigns for controlling the traffic situation in the country and protecting the lives of the road users.

Guns seized: A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested in possession of two Kalashnikov rifles. According to a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, when the General Department for Weapons Investigations received information about a Kuwaiti citizen in possession of weapons in his house, a team was formed for investigation. After confirming the information, they raided the citizen’s house and found the two weapons. The suspect was arrested and referred with the seized weapons to the concerned authorities for necessary legal procedures.
