Fake Kuwaiti cop robs an Egyptian

KUWAIT CITY, April 23: Police have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti for stealing KD 1,900 from an Egyptian, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily quoting security sources said the victim filed a complaint with a police station accusing the man of impersonating police and snatching his money. Accompanied by the complainant police went to the site of the incident and could identify the suspect’s car from CCTV camera footage.

Police then went to the suspect’s home and seized him. Police records showed the man was wanted by law to serve a four-year prison term. Meanwhile, a case of impersonation police and robbing pedestrians has been filed against him.
