Embassy launches WhatsApp helpline for Indians in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, May 27: The Embassy of India Kuwait announces the launch of new WhatsApp helpline numbers for Indians living in Kuwait as part of Embassy’s continuous efforts to strengthen, upgrade and further augment existing institutional outreach platforms for community service, says a press release issued by the embassy. The twelve (12) new WhatsApp Helpline Numbers corresponding to various services offered by the Embassy to the community are made available with immediate effect. This facility is in addition to the existing mechanism available to the community to reach out to the Embassy, including the landline and mobile numbers, e-mails and physical visits.

The Indians who desire to utilize this facility may send WhatsApp messages to the appropriate number as per the details provided below. Please note that these numbers are for WhatsApp text queries only and not for calls. For telephone calls, the existing landline and mobile numbers may continue to be used. Also, please note that only those messages that are received with full name, address and contact number will be replied to. Except for the emergency helpline number, replies from other helpline numbers will be sent during official working hours (0800 to 1630 hrs, Sunday to Thursday). The details of helpline numbers are as follows: Passport (not for routine queries), Consular Wing +965-65501767; Visa, OCI, Attestation, Miscellaneous Services, Consular Wing +965-65501013; Hospital & Emergency Medical Assistance, Community Welfare +965-65501587; Death Registration, Community Affairs +965- 65505246; Indian Associations in Kuwait, Community Affairs +965-65501078; Female Domestic Workers (VISA 20), Labour Wing +965-65501754; Labour (VISA 14,18) & Male Domestic Workers (VISA 20), Labour Wing +965-65501769; Commercial Attestation, Commerce Wing +965- 65505097; Emergency Helpline (outside the official working hours), Administration Wing +965-65501946.

This is in addition to Passport (routine queries), Outsourced Center +965- 65506360. Issues faced by Domestic Workers (VISA 20) (for direct call and WhatsApp) Outsourced Agency +965- 51759394 and +965-55157738. Meanwhile, on the occasion of International Day of Yoga (IDY) – 2021” which falls on June 18, 2021, the embassy invites entries from school students for an ‘Essay Writing Competition’ and ‘Pencil Drawing Competition’ for students on the following topics Essay Writing – Benefits of Yoga & Meditation in everyday life for Class VII – IX and ‘India: Home of Yoga’ for Class X – XII. Pencil Drawing ‘A Yoga Posture that I like Most’. The contest is open for all students. The details associated with the competition are as follows: Essays and Pencil Drawings to be sent at [email protected] Word Limit (for Essay) 1,000 words. The embassy may publish these entries on its social media handles. The copyright of the entries should be assigned to the Embassy of India in Kuwait by the respective participants. An undertaking to this effect may be attached with the entries along with details such as name, nationality, passport number, date of birth, contact phone numbers and email IDs. The last date for receiving entries is June 10, 2021.
