Egyptians stranded in UAE to be brought to Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 17: Ambassador Nabila Makram Abdel-Shahid, Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Abroad, affirmed the end of crisis for 300 Egyptians who were subjected to fraud by companies that claimed that they could return them to Kuwait after spending a quarantine period in the UAE and conducting a COVID-19 test, reports Al-Anba daily.

She said, “With the cooperation of Dr Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, four travel dates have been set, starting from this Thursday, to transport the Egyptians who are stranded in the UAE and return them to Kuwait.

The dates of the trips are – October 15, 19, 21 and 22”. The minister indicated that coordination has also been made with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to inform the tourism companies responsible for the stay of Egyptians stranded in the UAE that the Egyptians residing in the hotels should not exit their residences until the day they are heading back to Kuwait.
