Egyptian says swindled – Woman accused

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 6: An Egyptian has filed a complaint with the Nugra Police Station accusing a compatriot woman of swindling him, reports Al-Rai daily.

The suspect convinced him that she works as manager of a company and can help him get a work permit for his cousin if he can spend KD 1,300.

The complainant said after he paid the money, the suspect switched off her cell phone after two weeks. He added, when he visited the woman at the company he discovered she was a mere employee and had been dismissed from work for causing problems.

Police investigations revealed she is already serving time at the Central Prison in connection with fraud. The victim was able to identify her from a legal lineup. During interrogation the woman is said to have admitted to the charge. She also admitted to swindling many people after promising them visas. A case has been registered against her.
