Drug dealer, two compatriots arrested for carrying narcotics

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 29: Ahmadi securitymen arrested two Kuwaitis in Thaher for the possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. In compliance with the instructions of Security Director of the governorate Brigadier Abdullah Al-Mula, the securitymen carried out a surprise inspection in the area during which they noticed the erratic movement of a vehicle transporting the two Kuwaitis. They signaled for the driver to pull over for inspection, leading to the discovery of the narcotic substances and drug paraphernalia.

Meanwhile, Ahmadi securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti drug dealer in Fahaheel. This happened when the officers noticed the suspicious movement of a vehicle driven by the suspect who tried to escape. After a hot chase, the officers nabbed the suspect and they found in his possession one roll of hashish, 19 narcotic pills and a sachet of heroin. Initial investigations revealed the Kuwaiti is wanted by law for involvement in a financial case.

Violators nabbed: Environment Police in coordination with the Coast Guard Department and the Environment Monitoring Department affiliated to the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAFR) seized three foreign boats, which had violated the ban on fishing using nets, eight miles from Ouha Island, reports Al-Qabas daily. According to sources, the concerned authorities dealt with the violators appropriately and confiscated the fishing nets and equipment. Two other boats were seized for fishing in the Kuwaiti Bay.

Even though the suspects tried to escape, the Coast Guard officers managed to catch them and confiscate their licenses. The officers also chased four boats near Failaka Island and managed to arrest them near Kuwait Towers, as they had violated the ban on fishing within the Kuwaiti Bay. All arrested individuals were referred to the concerned authorities
