KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12: The General Traffic Department recently carried out an intensive field campaign aimed at enforcing traffic regulations and enhancing road safety.
According to a security source, the operation, which spanned approximately 48 hours, led to the impoundment of 149 vehicles after drivers were caught committing serious traffic violations, with speeding being the most common offense. The source further revealed that the highest speed recorded during the campaign by mobile radar devices reached 191 kilometers per hour, highlighting the urgency of the department’s enforcement efforts.
The campaign forms part of ongoing measures by the Traffic Department to reduce accidents and ensure safer driving practices across the country.
