Coast Guard arrest eighteen jet ski users for recklessness

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 13: Ahmadi securitymen arrested an Asian man for trading in local liquor with 11 bottles in his possession. While on duty in Mangaf, the securitymen noticed the suspicious act of the Asian who was carrying a bag. They stopped him for inspection but the suspect tried to escape. The officers overpowered him and checked the contents of the bag, leading to the discovery of the liquor bottles. A case was registered and the suspect was referred to the concerned security department.

18 jet ski users arrested: In a recent security campaign against vice at Sabah Al-Ahmad Sea City (Closed Bay) Coast Guard officers arrested 18 jet ski users for recklessness. In a statement, General Public Relations and Security Media Department said the campaign was conducted upon directives from the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior Sheikh Muhammad Al-Khaled and Deputy Minister of Interior Lieutenant General Sulaiman Al-Fahd. The operation was supervised by Assistant Undersecretary for Marine Border Security Affairs in the Ministry of Interior Major General Zuhair Al-Nasrallah along with acting Director of Coast Guard Navy Captain Saleh Al-Foudary and head of Southern Navy Sector Commander Yusuf Al-Nasrallah. Major General Al-Nasrallah called on sea users to notify the Coast Guard about negative behavior that constitute nuisance to them, including violation of public morals.

30 traffic citations issued: Ahmadi securitymen arrested three individuals who are wanted by law for financial cases, impounded five vehicles and issued 30 traffic citations during a campaign they launched against careless drivers near Duhr Roundabout. According to security sources, securitymen had surrounded five reckless drivers and then seized their vehicles. The arrested individuals have been referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

KD 1,775 stolen from 2 houses: An unknown individual broke into the apartment of two Indian expatriates in Khaitan area and stole KD 675, reports Al-Anba daily. Another burglar broke into a rental office in Nugra area and stole KD 1,100. For both incidents, securitymen launched investigations to find and arrest the suspects with the help of personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department who lifted fingerprints for the purpose.

Video made on taxi crash: A citizen took a video of an unknown person who was driving along Fahaheel Road and forced a taxi driver to swerve off the road, causing the vehicle to crash into the concrete side of the road. According to a security source, the incident was documented through the video clip that spread on various social media platforms. The video clip showed the accused chasing two cars, one of them is a taxi, which he hit from the back so the vehicle veered off the road and crashed into the concrete side. A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to arrest the suspect.
