‘Bid to solve Bedoun teachers problems’

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 16: The Ministry of Health (MoH) has coordinated with its higher education counterpart in determining the number of students who were granted scholarship and are eligible for health insurance, reports Al-Anba daily quoting sources. Sources said this is part of preparations for conducting a study on increasing the budget for health insurance from KD 5 million to KD 35 million.

Sources added the Cabinet has instructed the ministries of Health and Finance to carry out the study on the possible cost of health insurance for these students. In another development, Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Mohammad Al-Fares affirmed that the ministry is currently studying the suspended files in the educational system. He pointed out the ministry must intensify its efforts in addressing problems and issues. Also, Al-Fares said the ministry, in coordination with the Civil Service Commission (CSC), has started taking steps to solve the problems of Bedoun teachers.
